EQUAL Emphasis on teaching Restorative, Yin Yoga & Hatha Flow with Lead instructor Singer Mayberry & Guest Teachers

The Art of Yoga School recognizes that teaching yoga is an art and a skill, one that requires practice and support and feedback. In this training, you'll have many opportunities to practice - trying, making mistakes, figuring out what would work better, and trying again. You'll learn the "whys" and "hows" of sequencing creatively to people of all stages of practice and life, whether it's a group class or one-on-one.

Trainees will take turns assisting and attending Singer’s Restorative/Yin Yoga classes at Black Lagoon: Art + Yoga, each Saturday at 12pm + Sundays at 10am & 12pm. Trainees will eventually start co-teaching portions of these public classes (starting out at 10 minutes and building up to 30 minutes or more) with evaluations by Singer each weekend. Lots of hands on experience assisting & teaching Restorative + Yin!

“As a musician and artist, I love to create inspiring yoga experiences for my students. Always paying attention to the details, I find value in “curating” everything from my music playlists, to incorporating the use of essential oils & smudging to help even out the energy in my classes. The practice of yoga has brought balance to my life, nurturing my body, mind and soul. My practice helps me to live in a state of calm and consistency, even during times when my life seems utterly chaotic. Through my classes, I hope to share many valuable moments of calmness and clarity, encouraging balance in all of my students lives.”
