Day 1 - Travel Day
Fly into Cusco from Lima. We will have private drivers/taxis arranged to pick you up from the airport and bring you directly to our hotel in Ollantaytambo (1.5 hour drive). Try to book flights arriving between 12pm and 3pm so you are not driving at night. Arrive at hotel, freshen up. This is a recover from travel day. Group Dinner together around 6pm (depending on flights). Time to enjoy your surroundings and relax.
Day 2 - Ollantaytambo
Breakfast at Hotel Bistro. Walk together to the Ollantaytambo Ruins in the morning to explore (Singer & David’s favorite ruins on the trip). Take your time. Rest in the grassy areas. Meet for lunch in town if you’d like. Walk around for shopping. Great market outside of the ruins and many little shops. Great little massage spots if you really need one! Group dinner in town.
This first full day you will have the opportunity to leisurely explore the town and gear up for our full day Machu Picchu adventure tomorrow.
Day 3 - Machu Picchu
Early Breakfast at Hotel Bistro (by 7am, and be dressed and packed for the train). Catch the 7:40am train to Machu Picchu Pueblo where we will purchase our bus tickets up the mountain. Once we get up to the ruins, it only takes 1.5-2 hours max to make the circuit. Then you will take the bus back down or hike down. Packed lunch is ready for you to eat at your leisure. If you finish hiking Machu Picchu early, take your time walking around to explore the pueblo - there are a handful of amazing gelato spots, grab some bar food, or just walk around and shop. We will meet back at the train station to head back to Ollantaytambo hotel where dinner will be waiting for our arrival.
Day 4 - Maras Salt Mines & Moray (full day excursion)
Breakfast at hotel. We will leave by 10am for an hour drive to the Salt Mines, followed by Moray. After the ruins we will eat lunch outside of town and then head back home for a free late afternoon and dinner.
Day 5 - Travel Day to Urubamba Hotel
Breakfast at Hotel Bistro. Early risers might have time to stroll around the organic farm or town one last time. Check out of hotel is at 11am. 1 Hour Drive to Urubamba Hotel where we will have lunch and dinner this day.
Once we arrive, freshen up. In-room massages for at least half the group. Yin Yoga on the lawn before sunset. Dinner at hotel followed by a group bonfire and smores before bed.
Day 6 - Pisac Ruins & Village
Breakfast at hotel. At 10am drive one hour to Pisac Ruins (best time to see the ruins is after lunch when the crowds have left). We will likely spend 2-3 hours at the Pisac ruins (impromptu yoga session on the ruins if not too crowded). Around 1pm head into the town of Pisac for lunch and shopping. Pisac has a great market and fantastic shops (1:30pm-4:30pm lunch and shopping). Drive back to hotel to arrive for dinner by 5:30 or 6pm. Dinner in small groups or together.
Day 7 - Sirenachayoc Falls
Breakfast at Hotel. 10am Excursion to Sirenachayoc Falls (3 hours). Lunch around 1pm or when we get back to the hotel. After this its a FREE DAY. Opitional Yoga with Singer in the gardens. Book another massage? Take a taxi into the town of Urubamba? Or simply relax at the hotel enjoying the grounds, or book another massage! You might want to go into Cusco if that’s your only chance? Singer and David can help coordinate, just ask! Group dinner at hotel or in town.
Day 8 - Travel Day (end of trip)
Breakfast at hotel. Transport for you back to Cusco or airport after our weeklong adventure together!
