Objectives for our 200 Hour Training :

Transform your own practice - Weekly practices, plenty of technical Q&A’s, and space for safe yogic exploration will take your practice to new realms; you’ll learn to listen to your Higher Self, creating a foundation for balance in your relationship to your own body, mind, and spirit.

Learn the Art of Creative Sequencing - Along with the basics of crafting mindfully sequenced group and private classes, you’ll learn how to accommodate the needs of whomever shows up and practice the art of improvising

Hone your Seeing Skills - Practice the fine art of seeing and empathing: learn to distinguish the different layers that make up each person, including the physical body, the emotional body, the energetic body, and the personality; and explore ways to teaching that address the whole person

Know Your Anatomy - At The Art of Yoga School, we believe that for yoga to truly be a transformative, personal practice, it needs to be taught with a studied understanding of human anatomy and energy. We offer in-depth anatomy instruction emphasizing the ways asana and pranayama impact the human body and energy body, and learn how to apply the principles of yoga alignment to students with differing body types, injuries, and in different life stages.

Discover your Inner Teacher - Find and speak from your authentic voice, with confidence and compassion; learn non-judgmental communication techniques that allow you to hold space for your students’ experiences on the mat and create a safe, supportive, and energetic environment for your classes

We will focus on Hatha, Restorative, and Yin Styles

180 hours are required contact hours with our Lead Trainer and guest teachers.

Trainees will also be responsible for attending at least 10 public classes on their own, outside of the training (online or in person), with a minimum of 4 different teachers. Trainees will log these hours and write 1-2 paragraphs describing their experience for each class. Note* we are not asking you take notes while practicing with other teachers, but to try and reflect on the class after attending. Trainees will be asked to discuss aspects of the classes that they would like to incorporate into their own teaching and why. During our Q&A time, trainees will be encouraged to bring up questions they had regarding their experiences or observations in outside classes as a way to reinforce a learning environment of curiosity and inclusivity, and to discuss and possibly clarify alignment, anatomical, and sequencing principles.

Once completing the training you will be able to register with Yoga Alliance. Our training program and school has been approved and registered with Yoga Alliance since 2016.

All reading Materials are included in the cost of the retreat

Singer is a en E-RYT500 Teacher and Registered as a Continuing Education Provider.

As a musician and artist, I love to create inspiring yoga experiences for my students. Always paying attention to the details, I find value in “curating” everything from my music playlists, to incorporating the use of essential oils & smudging to help even out the energy in my classes. The practice of yoga has brought balance to my life, nurturing my body, mind and soul. My practice helps me to live in a state of calm and consistency, even during times when my life seems utterly chaotic. Through my classes, I hope to share many valuable moments of calmness and clarity, encouraging balance in all of my students lives.
